Emergencies don’t wait for a first responder to arrive – the first few minutes are often what determine the outcome, and anyone can learn to make them count.

This course is relevant to anyone in the workplace, from frontline staff to management, and covers a practical toolkit for responding when someone collapses, stops breathing, or is struggling: how to run the DRS ABCD framework for CPR, when and how to use an AED, and how to manage an unresponsive but breathing patient in the recovery position. From there, staff learn to recognise and respond to choking, asthma attacks and panic attacks, the warning signs of a stroke or heart attack, and how to treat anaphylaxis with an EpiPen.

It’s the essential starting point for building a workplace that’s ready to act when it matters most.
